We nail some sound advice to the walls in the Tavern. Just so passers-by can see something useful even if they don't join a conversation. Conversations are fine, in themselves, as far as they go. But.... When matters of importance need to be addressed, there MUST come a time for ACTION.
For that you will need to have a stiff drink. Courage. Clarity. That's what a tavern serves. To ask someone to 'just listen' is what a Dis-empowering person does. To insist that they 'must' 'only' listen is oppression. It is 'Passive-Aggressive'.
"All I want is for you to listen.... and then say what a 'poor me' I am.... and then give in to my demands. Or else."
Well, not quite a baby or a 'babe', but a young man who came by incensed and with things to say. He is an English chap who wants to respond to an 'adult' woman who is Empowered. Women of course need empowerment. It is a Patriarchal World according the the most vociforous, nasty-minded, liars who gain power - against all odds apparantly. This particular downtrodden woman, Yvette Cooper MP, Member of Parliament for Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford (and from an All-Woman list, of course) laguishes at the bottom of the societal heap where she is the Labour Party Shadow Home Secretary (that's nothing to do with a household 'home' though). Heaven forbid that she might be even lower down the pecking order, keeping a warm and caring home for a family.
Once, long ago, someone looked up her short skirt. Now she wants all boys to pay.
She uses her position to insist that schools in Britain oblige boys to learn and adopt Feminism.!! Well young Josh has a few things to say about that.

It was with a heavy heart that I read your article in the Independent this week. Writing about abuse in schools, you headline your piece ‘why we must educate our sons to save our daughters‘ and continue it with the most flagrant disregard for the truth that I think I have recently encountered.
You write of the hurling of insults and the way in which teachers are concerned for the well being of girls and you use as your evidence this -
According to the Children’s Commissioner there is clear evidence that violence in young relationships is growing. The British Crime Survey shows girls aged between 16-19, are most at risk of domestic violence – over 10 per cent had been experienced violence or abuse in a relationship.
Examining the evidence that you seek to rely on to convince us of this, however, it is clear that far from violence against girls being the only issue that we should be concerned about, violence in the world at large, in the family, in the home and at school, is almost equally likely to affect boys as well as girls, the real fact we should be worried about.
In fact men are more likely than women to experience violence per se and almost as likely to experience domestic violence. Don’t believe me? Here is the evidence from the source you quote, the British Crime Survey.
The CSEW showed that young men were most likely to be the victims of violence. The profile of victims of violent and sexual violence varied according to the type of offence. In 2011/12, as in previous years, more than two-thirds of homicide victims (68%) were male.
In contrast, women Focus on: Violent Crime and Sexual Offences, 2011/12 | 07 February 2013 Office for National Statistics | 2 were more likely to be a victim of domestic abuse. Some 7% of women and 5% of men were estimated to have experienced domestic abuse in the last year, equivalent to an estimated 1.2 million female and 800,000 male victims.
You might pause for a moment to look at those statistics from the other end. 93% of women do NOT experience domestic violence and neither do 95% of men. Some epidemic !
Whilst you can of course point to the 2% difference in the rate of experience of domestic violence as being evidence that more women than men suffer,
it seems to me to be utterly disengenous
to simply dismiss 800,000 incidents of domestic violence against men as being either of no consequence or no proof that violence is something that is suffered by men AND women and enacted by men AND women. And yet in your speech this week you consistently and deliberately maintained the illusion that only women and girls suffer violence and only men and boys are to blame.
It is simply untrue.
Violence, in the home and in the world around is not a gender issue. Though it is the fervent goal of feminism to convince us that it is.
Our failure to understand this and our belief in what feminists tell us, leads us to witness the creeping emasculation of our boys which, if you have your way, will enter their consciousness in the early days of their education, in the form of your proposal to turn boys into ‘confident feminists.’
I don’t think I can properly express how I feel about your proposals, to bring in new laws to safeguard women and girls, which are based upon lies, stereotypes and the self interested proclamations of young women who consider themselves to be ‘oppressed.’

In your piece you quote the organisations who you feel should be supported by your party and the way in which these are leading the way to freedom for women and girls. You end your list of these with the movement 1 billion rising, the brain child of Eve Ensler, the author of the Vagina Monologues and the infamous scribe of the scene in which a young girl of 13 is raped by an older woman, ended with the words ‘if that was rape, it was a good rape.‘ And you proclaim that these are the inspiration behind your proposals that boys are educated out of their inherent masculinity.’
I could not feel more sickened.
In my view, the Labour party and all of its supporters should know the truth of the matter which is that feminism is a political doctrine which teaches not equality, but that the rights of women must come first, last and always. As part of that process, the emasculation of men and boys is seen as a desirable outcome.
Making boys into girls starts early in their childhood these days, with primary education being more likely to be taught by women and good behaviour in children being seen as that which is displayed by girls, whilst dysfunctional behaviour is more likely to be viewed in boys.
The notion that boys and girls are different but equal in their value, in their learning capacity, in their behaviour and in their general demeanor appears to have simply been erased by the idea that, in the words of Glen Poole from Equality4Men, girls HAVE problems and boys ARE problems.
This narrative, which is evident in your behaviour Yvette Cooper, is shaped by women who have control over family policy and and who see the needs and rights of children as being indivisible from those of their mothers.
But the rights and needs of children are NOT indivisible from those of their mothers. The rights of boys are equal to those of girls and it is not for feminists to determine what makes a ‘good boy’ or a ‘good girl’ either for that matter.
Feminism is not synonymous with equality, much as the feminists would have us believe that it is so and it does not and cannot solve the problems of the world in which we are raising our children and grandchildren.
A world in which the following is true (Taken from the Equality4Men website)
Men and boys in 99% of countries are more likely to kill themselves than women and girls
Men and boys account for 4 out of 5 violent deaths in the world ever year
Girls in nearly 100 of the world’s leading economies are more likely to get a better education and go to university than boys
Fathers all over the globe are less involved in raising their children than mothers for all sorts of personal, cultural and political reasons which is just a snapshot of the reality that we face in terms of helping boys to grow to be healthy and happy people.
How does your proposal, to turn boys into ‘confident feminists’ offer us any kind of road map for the health and wellbeing of boys as well as girls?
Put simply it doesn’t.
What it does is lie to the electorate about the reality facing our children and prey upon the anxieties whipped up by half-hysterical women who believe that dancing around the world proclaiming their oppression is somehow about equality.
Pity our boys, because what is being done to them prevents their ability to believe in their own inherent sense of self, prevents their ability to trust themselves and others in the world around them and inculcates shame at the earliest age about what it means to be not a girl.
The facts speak for themselves.

There are few taxis of this sort in Tasmoania, down in the Hilary Village, although we could do with a lot more. It would be a source of mirth were it not more a cause for deep concern. The Australian Military reputation is being trashed; by its own leaders. The Oz military tradition is to trash the incompetence of Britain's WW1 Generals in a vain attempt to elevate their own. General Monash was possibly the greatest and most effective General of the time but it was years before he was able to gain recognition. The Oz military was too busy criticisng the British. The alarm sounded and the Squadron's Leader rushed to the aircrew locker-room. Pulling his immersion and compression suit on was always easier for him than for the other pilots. A man can serve his country, rise to some decent rank and yet be cashiered for defending the underpinnings of the nation's ethos. Christianity. The Rule of Law.
He can be counted amongst the leaders of Christianity, being a Catholic, a true member of the One, True, Holy and Apostolic Catholic Church, and yet when expressing that, be shown the door.
He can point out the Milirary's own rules and object when his fellow officers break them, and HE gets punished. His career terminated.

OK. Now the 4th of July is over, let’s just have a look at this ‘ere “War of Independence.” The great Daniel Hannan had a few words, which I will only briefly put here lest a riot breaks out. Again !!
It’s a stirring story, but it’s false in every aspect. Neither Paul Revere nor anyone else could have shouted “The British are coming!” in 1775: The entire population of Massachusetts was British. (What the plucky Boston silversmith actually yelled was “The regulars are out!”)
The overall level of taxation in the colonies in 1775 was barely a fiftieth of what it was in Great Britain, and the levies to which Americans had objected had been repealed before the fighting began.
The Boston Tea Party, which sparked the violence, was brought about by a lowering of the duty on tea. George Washington wasn’t there when the Declaration of Independence was signed. The flag that the Patriots marched under was not, except on very rare occasions, the stars-and-stripes (which probably wasn’t sewn by Betsy Ross) but the Grand Union flag.
Known also as the Congress Flag and the Continental Colors, the Grand Union Flag had the 13 red and white stripes as they are today, but in the top left-hand quarter, instead of stars, it showed Britain’s flag, made up of the St. George’s Cross for England and the St. Andrew’s Cross for Scotland. It was the banner that the Continental Congress met under, the banner that flew over their chamber when they approved the Declaration of Independence. It was the banner that George Washington fought beneath, that John Paul Jones hoisted on the first ship of the United States Navy.
That it has been almost excised from America’s collective memory tells us a great deal about how the story of the Revolution was afterward edited.

And the world has changed to accommodate these clear facts; these so-obvious facilities that men lack but the ladies have in abundance. Our institutions have women in charge everywhere, if not in every place yet. We get a lot of ladies in the Tavern. Fine Gals in the main. Ladies who ARE empathetic and nurturing. Ladies who do speak well and do calm others down. They seem to have the knack and therefore we can assume that 'woman' are as it says on their packaging. Look at these four.

These ladies run a school district in the Land of the Free. They make the Rulz, especially for the tiny tots in Kindy. Nothing too hard. Nothing a mum ( or a dad ) could not handle. But they bring their 'special' empathy and nurturing, remember. So...... a small lad in their baliwick's Kindergarten, just five years old is cajoled by other small terrors in the playground, to drop his pants. Heck, what budding Knight at five didn't do something as silly, and as ordinary for a five year old?
That little lad is now a 'Sex Offender'
Why? How? The Ladies above Rule the system. That's why.
The mother of 5-year-old Eric Lopez, who signed a paper attesting to the act of voluntarily ‘depantsing’ in his school playground, is now fighting authorities to remove the stain from her son’s permanent school record.
Accused of the ‘lewd act’, Eric Lopez did not ask that his parents be present at the moment he was asked to sign the incriminating document inside the assistant principal’s office.
The boy’s mother said her son had no idea he could make such a request.
"He did not know that he could ask for me," the boy’s mother, Erica Martinez, told azfamily.com.
"He's five."
The boy also received a detention from school in addition to the permanent sexual misconduct charge on his file.
Now it may be out of place for a Tavern Keeper to be criticising 'school rulz'. But hey, wasn't there something missing there? Just what sort of 'Rulz' are written to haul a five year old into an office and condemn his future without even his mum being there to add the requisit empathy and friggin' nurturing ??
A kindergartner dropped his pants on an elementary-school playground in Surprise last spring. He was pulled into the assistant principal's office, questioned and asked to sign a statement.
Asked to sign a Statement.?? He's FIVE. !! Most five year old can't write their name in anything other than crayon.
And then the 5-year-old was branded with a label that will remain in his school file permanently:
"sexual misconduct."
This is what gives zero-tolerance policies and education leaders a bad reputation. The removal of common sense and independent thinking leads to absurd results.
Hello. A parent HAS to tolerate a huge amount, shirley? Kiddies get up to all sorts of mischief. Mums particulalry are constantly being cajoled into buying washing powders for dirty clothes. This little lad was perhaps more likely to have clean pants when he got home if he took them off at Kindy.
As the story unfolds, it gets more ridiculous.
Dysart Unified School District officials (That is - the Ladies above) did not tell the boy's mother about the incident, that he was in the assistant principal's office or that he was signing a note, according to reporting by KTVK. Officials point to district policy that says a parent does not have to be present for a disciplinary meeting unless the students asks.
That makes sense for middle- or high-school students. (Maybe). But a 5-year-old?
Once the mother found out, she objected. She wants the district to remove the sexual misconduct label from her son's file, noting that his actions
were not sexual in any way.
Or that a 5-year-old knows anything about sex.
No doubt the fine ladies on the Board will take steps to fix that last point. Look forward to a representative from the local chapter of the 'Sodomites and sundry lady-parts Fiddlers', 'Certain of being in the Wrong Body', 'Wearing someone else's Knickers' , and 'We want to use the Girl's Toilets' brigade arriving to give compulsory 'Sex-Ed' lessons. Their rationale will be that a five year old SHOULD know what is sexual.
The district said no. It pointed to reams of policy and state and federal guidelines. Consistency, they said. We must be consistent.
There is a place for consistency. There should also be a place for common sense, for realizing this child needed a good talking-to about what is proper conduct on the playground. An insightful school leader would have made the mother an ally.
So, next time someone points out all the faults of men who run organisations (and there are a lot of faults to draw upon) and demand that woman should be in charge as they would do so much better at it, just thank your stars you are not a five year old boy. And please, don't even ask what would have happened if he had been a she. Little girls can take their pants down in the playground as an act of 'Empowerment', and get a gold star. Them's the ladies' rulz. Remember, what is written on the packaging is there to SELL you something.
Odd the things a Tavern Keeper thinks about when business is slow. Old Knights have a lot of memories. Especially of being knocked off m'steed. Modern knights have different steeds but the action is often very much the same. You fall off, jump off or get knocked off. Sometimes someone knocks you off, in anger or by mistake. This fellow jumped.

I heard about it before the plane hit the ground. All RAF aircraft are deemed to be ‘practice targets’ unless they file a flight plan saying they are not. This Jaguar was flying about doing his thing when a Phantom spotted him on radar and went into the attack. Just for practice, you understand.

There is a ‘drill’ to fire a missile that has quite a few steps. Lots of buttons and switches.
Acquiring the target on weapons radar; arming the weapon; etc. The electrics have to be ‘readied’ for firing the explosive bolts that let the weapon drop off the wing. Many times nothing happens. The electrics fail,; the radar loses the target; the bolts don’t go off; the missile rocket doesn’t fire. Worse, the missile might well ignite but stay on the wing ! (In which case it is hard rudder-work until it burns out). But the Phantom pilot has his firing routine of switches and buttons. In a 'Practice’ mode he just omits a switch or a button. He didn’t. The missile went. Straight up the jet pipe of the Jaguar. Blew the back end of the plane off. The Jag pilot finding he now had only half a plane, ejected. Banged out. My thesis was a prime ‘theory’ used in the Board of Enquiry. Hot off the typewriter !
My career was bookmarked by crashed aircraft, with many in between. Even my steed has gone to the great meadow in the sky. There are quite a few accidents at work.

I have yet to hear a woman demand equality in that.
That was the cry, the other day in the Oz Room when a customer fell off his bar stool. Poor chap banged his drinking arm and put his elbow out. "Is there a Doctor in the House", I called, and fortunately there was. And a nurse. In fact two fine gals and the Doc were soon treating him to some functional human Grace. Of course the liklihood of a doctor or a nurse being nearby is quite good. We in Oz are about half-way up the charts in terms of such professionals per 100,000 of the population. That's the usual measure of demographics in terms of 'sorts of' people. Oz has around 247 Doctors, 350 if you count in the 'Specialists', and around 1200 nurses per 100,000. That's pretty good. When it comes to scientists - as we discovered this week when there was a local furore about 15 CSIRO scientists about to lose their jobs due to Government economising - we have around 2500 per 100,000 population. And that is just the scientists (there are lots of science disciplines) engaged in 'research' work that is 'government supported'. You can add all the private sector ones to that number, working in industry. Mostly we grow our own, from scratch. Our schools and Universities churn out these necessary fine men and women well educated in the Professions. We encourage such career choices from quite young.
Every one started, of course, as a twinkle in someone's eye at bedtime.
From every One Hundred Thousand babies we will get 350 medicos and 1200 nurses. And 2500 scientists.
And 100,000 is the number of pre-born babies we kill in Oz every year.
In twenty five years time we can expect that there will be 350 fewer doctors, 1200 fewer nurses and 2500 fewer scientists than there would have been otherwise.
Because we will have killed them this year.
We will kill a similar number next year. And the year after. And the years after that. Oddly, it is the 'reduction in criminals' that was used as an excuse for abortions not so long ago. No-one wants criminals around, so the 'theory' went, and aborting likely ones was a fine idea. It was Harvard University, hotbed of lefty and feminist theology that came up with the spin.
Many plausible explanations have been advanced for the drop (in crime) during the 1990s. Some stress law-enforcement measures, such as higher arrest and conviction rates, longer prison sentences, “broken windows” police strategies, and the death penalty. Others emphasize right-to-carry laws for concealed handguns, a strong economy, or the waning of the crack-cocaine epidemic.
Yet, of all the explanations, perhaps the most controversial is the one that attributes lower crime rates in the ’90s to Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court’s 1973 decision to mandate legalized abortion.
According to this argument, the large number of women who began having abortions shortly after Roe were most likely unmarried, in their teens, or poor, and their children would have been “unwanted.” Children born in these circumstances would have had a higher-than-average likelihood of becoming criminals, and would have entered their teens — their “criminal prime” — in the early 1990s. But because they were aborted, they were not around to make trouble.
The unmarried, poverty-striken girl barely exists nowadays as she gets housing benefits, 'food stamps' (in the US) and assorted bonuses for having children. The single-mother link to crime is well established. The 'theory' has largely been dismissed and the prisons are full of the offspring of single mothers. But no-one bothered to extend the view to societally -valuable people. Fixing a broken arm is one thing. Finding cures for all the ailments that beset us is another. But we are reducing our chances of doing either in years to come. It is ironic - that, or sick - that it is doctors and nurses who kill babies. I am not at all sure just how such people square their oath to protect and save life with their business urge to make money from killing babies in the womb. Australia is well up on the charts in terms of killing babies. In sheer numbers in the western, Anglophile world, America is streets ahead (or is that tiny graves ahead?) with well over a million a year. But proportionally Oz does better !! The numbers of people in all of our countries who die of diseases and illnesses is far below the number who die on the abortuary table, aided and abetted by their own mothers - and the medical professonals. You would think that America with its sensitivity to racism would be doing better.
It is inhuman.
But do not expect to read a Pro-Life article in the press or see it on TV.
The media is firmly in the grip of those who want abortion to keep killing babies. The media will LIE.
Update at end. Every kiddy should get some education. Lots of nodding heads in the Tavern to that idea. Every kiddy should have access to the internet at school. Some thoughful shakes as well as nods to that one. It pops up from time to time when this government policy or that pushes schools into the internet age and even issues every school kid with a 'Free' laptop. Well, they announce that, but in practice many kids miss out and the parents suffer losses through theft and simply mislay. The laptops and other computer gizmos get to some but far from all kiddies. And very few get the 'Free' steak knives either.
So schools themselves expend vast amounts on installing the technology themselves. All well and good. Then of course the government, school boards, parents groups, etc all clamour to censor what kiddies can and cannot look at. For we do have to acknowledge that at this infant stage of the Knowledge Revolution where the Human Psyche is expanding into the public sphere, there is more 'Id' than 'super-ego' alive and thriving in cyberspace. And this is where the messiness arises. The knives come out ! There are those who go well beyond blocking smut. The super-ego drive is politically dependant and markedly left wing. Some mind-smut is positively encouraged. As was found by one lad at school, as told to open mouthed patrons of the P&B the other day by Todd Barnes. Todd tried hard not to get over-excited but I did have to provide some more wholesome froth to his lips as he spoke.

One of the lessons that Andrew Lampart learned from being on his school’s debate team was to
gather facts for both sides of an argument.
So last month when his law class was instructed to prepare for a debate on gun control, Andrew went online using the school’s Internet service.
“I knew it was important to get facts for both sides of the case,” said the 18-year-old at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, Connecticut.
So, this was not a small child being 'protected' from any of the zillion naked women on the net.He was after 'balance'; iffs and buts, not butts.
Andrew decided to set aside his debate preparation and started researching other conservative websites. He soon discovered that he had unfettered access to liberal websites, but conservative websites were blocked.
When Andrew tried to log onto the National Rifle Association’s website, he realized there was a problem – a big problem.
“Their website was blocked,” he told me. Andrew decided to try the Second Amendment Foundation’s website. That too, was blocked.
His curiosity got the best of him – so Andrew tried logging on to several pro-gun control websites. Imagine his surprise when he discovered the pro-gun control websites were not blocked.
“I became curious as to why one side was blocked and the other side was not,” he said.
Be curious no more, young man.The school is protecting your young adult mind from making itself up for itself.
For example, the Connecticut Republican Party website was blocked.
The Connecticut Democratic Party website was not blocked.
National Right to Life was blocked, but Planned Parenthood was not blocked.
Connecticut Family, a pro-traditional marriage group, was blocked, but LGBT Nation was not blocked.
Andrew found that even Pope Francis was blocked
from the school’s web service.
But although he could not access the Vatican website, the school allowed him to access an Islamic website.
“This is really border line indoctrination,”
Andrew told me.
There is barely a border to be seen here. The enemy is streaming across like illegal immigrants.
“Schools are supposed to be fair and balanced towards all ways of thinking. It’s supposed to encourage students to formulate their own opinions.
Where did he get that idea from !! Quick, a lefty has fainted.
Students aren’t able to do that here at the school because they are only being fed one side of the issue.”
Andrew gathered his evidence and requested a meeting with the principal. The principal referred him to the superintendent, which he did. The superintendent promised to look into the matter and fix the problem.
“I gave him a week to fix the problem,” Andrew said. “But nothing had been done.”
So last Monday, Andrew took his mountain of evidence to the school board.
“They seemed surprised,” he said. “They told me they were going to look into the problem.”
Since the school board didn’t resolve the problem, I decided to take a crack at it.
Superintendent Jody Goeler sent me a rather lengthy letter explaining what happened.
He admitted there are “apparent inconsistencies” in the school district’s filtering system “particularly along conservative and liberal lines.”
Get away ! And he had not noticed. !
“Many of the liberal sites accessible to the student fell into the ‘not rated’ category, which was unblocked while many of the conservative sites were in the ‘political/advocacy group’ category which is accessible to teachers but not to students,” he said in a written statement.
“The district is trying to determine the reason for the inconsistency and if the bias is pervasive enough to justify switching to another content filtering provider.”
I find it hard to believe the superintendent needs more evidence to make that determination.
“The district does not block individual sites, only categories of websites,” he wrote. “The categories are supposed to be inclusive of all sites that fall into a common description.”
Without getting into the weeds here, the school district is blaming the blocking on Dell SonicWall, their content filtering service.
They said they are waiting for Dell SonicWall to clarify its process for assigning websites to categories.
Dell SonicWall did not return my telephone call so I can’t tell you whether the district’s statement is the gospel truth or baloney. But something smells fishy.
Superintendent Goeler said they have “an interest in exposing students to a wide and varying number of viewpoints."
“The district does engage in unblocking sites to provide diverse points of view and balance in the instructional process,” he wrote.
Pardon me, sir, but that’s a load of unadulterated, Grade-A hooey.
The National Rifle Association, Red State, SarahPac.com, National Right to Life, Second Amendment Foundation, Paul Ryan for Congress, Town Hall, TeaParty.org, ProtectMarriage.com, and Christianity.com are just some of the websites the school blocked.
And they still remain blocked.
“The thing that bothers me the most is that public education is supposed to be neutral,” Andrew said. “It’s supposed to expose kids to both sides of an issue and allow them to formulate their own opinions.”
So he has been told. It is written on the packet. But the goods tell a different tale. And still no steak knives.
Andrew has discovered the issue I write about in my new book, “God Less America.” Public schools have become leftwing indoctrination centers.
“Students are only being given information from one side of the issue,” he said. “They are told this is the information we are giving you – make the most of it. They are not giving them both sides of the argument.”

And now we must do our part and demand a free exchange of ideas not just in Woodbury, Connecticut, but around the nation.
