Barrier Reef Bombed

A lot of 'tut-tuts' in the bar with the news that America has bombed the Great Barrier Reef.  Accidentally, I hasten to add.

Few realize that America likes to play war games with Aussies. We have a lot of wide open spaces and not many people compared to the US, and of course we are in an 'Interesting Region' in 'Interesting Times'.

They were not Nukes though, and more on that coming after this.

Military aviators are the modern equivalent of the Knights of my day. They go armed, often alone, to battle; and they get affected by more than just rust!

Their 'gadgets' get 'bent': this is the 'code' used by fighter pilots returning with some 'fault' on board that they do not want to specify over the radio, as other people hear.

Knights broke lances and blunted swords and sometimes has their bridles cut.

But it seems in this instance that the horses just needed hay.

TWO US Marine Corps jets have been forced to drop four unarmed bombs on the Great Barrier Reef.

The two AV-8B Harrier jets each dropped two 226kg bombs on the world heritage-listed reef in an emergency jettison during a training mission on Tuesday.

The incident came ahead of Exercise Talisman Saber, a biennial training operation between Australian and US forces based at Shoalwater Bay on the central Queensland coast.

The dropped bombs had not detonated and a US official has reportedly said the chance of any of them exploding is "extremely remote".

A Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority spokeswoman told News Corp Australia she had not heard about the incident, but would look into it.

The extent of any environmental damage was not clear.

http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/us-marine-harrier-jets-forced-to-drop-unarmed-bombs-on-heritagelisted-great-barrier-reef/story-fnhnv0wb-1226682400617

US Navy Commander William Marks, of the 7th Fleet Public Affairs, said the jets had planned to drop the bombs on a range on Townshend Island, but that was foiled when the range was not clear.

After several attempts, the jets were running low on fuel and could not land with the bombs they were carrying.

"Due to low fuel and inability to land with the amount of ordnance they were carrying, the on scene commander determined it was necessary to designate an emergency jettison area for the ordnance," Commander Marks said.

He said each bomb was jettisoned in a "safe, unarmed state and did not explode".
"The US Navy and Marine Corps are working closely with Australian authorities to investigate the incident."
Not the Search Team !!

The Australian Defence Force said the bombs posed "minimal risk or threat to the public, the marine environment or civilian shipping transiting the reef area".

"The incident is being investigated by the US and findings will be provided to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority so that the way ahead can be mutually agreed," a spokesman said.

"Defence is working closely with the US military, the Australian Government and environmental organisations to ensure there is no danger to the public or the environment now or in the future."

The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef. It is home to more than 3000 individual reef systems and hundreds of tropical islands.

The US Navy is considering how to recover the bombs, which were dropped in a "deep channel" about 16 nautical miles south of Bell Cay, off the Capricorn Coast between Mackay and Rockhampton.

"The safety of personnel and the environment are our top priorities," Commander Marks said.

America, no doubt like most nations and despite their technological expertise, mostly are unable to find bombs that they have lost.

Even Nuclear bombs.

I think the number is in the teens now. Lost Nukes, that is.

Anyone seen my nuke?

There is one in a busy river channel in Georgia for instance. Under the mud. Waiting. Rusting. There are others off Spain and scattered around the American coast.

Or here:

One day there just might be a laying waste of the east coast of America quite unexpectedly!!  But there will be a bigger roar if the Great Barrier Reef is scratched !

Brilliant One Day, Perfect the Next

That's what Queenslanders say about their weather. Sub-tropical places have always been attractive, especially to cooler climate folk. But Global Warming 'threatens' us all with nice weather.

Our Small Island Paradise.

The Tavern is on a cooler-climate Island. It's a bit like Britain, but a better overall temperature and a greater variety of landscape. Oh, and only half a million people in a place the size of Ireland.

At 40Deg South we are like Corfu at 40Deg North.

View from the Tavern.

We have quite a few Ex-Pat British people here.

We get four seasons a day and our customers from the sunny north remind us of what they left behind to come so far for the Graces they can get in the Tavern that they don't get on the Big Island.

Below the Mountain, the Beaches beckon.

Some of them are 'older' folk who get Pensions from the UK.  But those pensions are 'frozen'. They do not increase. They do not match the warming forecasts.

Why are they frozen? Good question.

Anna Raccoon dropped by from her Pub down the way: The Raccoon Arms. Fine pub it is too. She is always welcome here but today she was quite heated.

Britain on DaftCon 2 alert!
by Anna Raccoon

http://www.annaraccoon.com/politics/britain-on-daftcon-2-alert/

Good Heavens Britain! Did the clouds part and the sun peek through for five minutes? Every newspaper in hysteria mode!
Mothers 'mortified' because they thought they could put a four week old baby out to bake on a Brighton beach with no marinade and overcooked the poor little shaver.
Gritting lorries trying to damp down the tarmac.
School's closed because too many pupils wanted to leave class for a glass of water.
NHS England putting 'extra capacity into unscheduled care pathways' (must remember to store that one away for future use!).
"457,459 people" going to an A & E department last week -  though the figures don't say how many usually attend, so we are left with a large figure and nothing to compare it to.
Wot, no hosepipe ban, not even a teeny weeny one?
All that because the temperature rose to a moderate 30°?
30° degrees is perfectly normal for us, any time between April and late October. Yesterday it was 38.5°. Remember us? We're the ones that live in a 'pleasantly warmer clime' according to Ian Duncan Smith, so we are undeserving of a pension increase. We spend our time sipping Sangria's at Malaga golf clubs.
All one million of us.

We cool off in the Mountain Lakes.

At 38.5° you have the air conditioning on all the time - if you are lucky enough to have air conditioning. If you don't, you spend the time in the darkest corner of your home, desperately trying to stay cool. You stand under cold showers. You have to - you're a pensioner, one of those especially vulnerable people with chronic illnesses that 'health and social care experts' are now bound by duty to worry about since the mercury has climbed to 30° in dear old Blighty.....
Will we see a 'Summer cooling allowance' for pensioners shortly, since this is such a serious situation for the elderly? 50% grants for the installation of air conditioning? Not payable for those fortunately folk sipping Sangria round the log fire in the cooler climes like France and Spain!
Yesterday, the Department of Work and Pensions issued yet another document purporting to show how France, Spain and five other countries enjoyed such balmy temperate weather year round, that pensioners living in those countries had no need of a pension increase to help with their energy bills; you can hear the hollow laughter all over the continent this morning as Britain goes into panic mode at the sight of the Sun.
It is 30deg here throughout our summer. We don't get our knickers in a twist. Like Anna we bless the warmth and vastly prefer it to the sort of dull, damp, cold England (despite all the other beauties that England offers).

The Sand Sings beneath your Feet here.

Anna complains (in first-rate whinging Pom style, mind you, bless her) about Summer Allowances for ex-pats in Spain and France and other such warm places where furriners live. But what about an unfrozen pension for ex-pats in Oz?

Despite the best efforts of people writing to their MPs and even going over and collaring them in their offices, our 'Representatives of the People' seem totally cool with the idea of screwing old age pensioners out of our just deserts. No wonder ex-pats get hot under their collarless, beach shirts.

I will pour Anna a nice cool drink.

Anna is always welcome here. Our kinda Landlady.

Mr Boatwright & Who We Are

Updated. This is a 'rolling' post.
My tale was told an eon ago and I am still here. It was not my tale but of another man altogether, who could not be and remain himself throughout his life. We change.

He, that young chap, had to take over from me just as our sons have to and generations to come. But we, too, like him, have to give up who we are in order that another better man comes through.

We make some horrendous mistakes in life. They have long lasting effects. Some awful wounds. And sometimes it is not just our errors of omission or commission, but life itself dealing us a duff hand and our times turning tides.

Carolyn Moynihan of Mercatornet (see side-bar, right) was in the Spirit bar talking of a chap she heard of.

A couple of days ago an AP report drew attention to a man who woke from unconsciousness in a Florida hospital a few months ago calling himself Johann Ek and speaking only Swedish. That would have been a relief to the authorities hovering around if he really was Mr Ek and really Swedish.
But it appears he is really Michael Boatwright, an American, diagnosed as suffering from Transient Global Amnesia.
According to his sister, Mr Boatwright has led a wandering life, some of it in Sweden where he pursued an interest medieval history and jousting. A Swede who knew him from that time says he was talented at fighting in plate armour.
Unfortunately there are not many openings in the US job market for Swedish-speaking knight errants, and poor Mr Boatwright is virtually destitute. Let’s hope family members (he has a son and two ex-wives) can help him find his true identity and a modus vivendi in the present.
Accustomed as we are to hearing “medieval” used as a term of derision, if not abuse, it comes as a surprise to hear of people who seem to prefer the Middle Ages to our own.
The Society for Creative Anachronism, an international group dedicated to the research and recreation of pre-1600 medieval western Europe, has 40,000 members globally who adopt period personas and dress and behave accordingly at their get-togethers – lots of “m’lords” and “m’ladys”, bows and curtseys and so on.
I have a sneaking sympathy with anachronists who hark back to a time when men were men, women were women and manners were well defined. I also sympathise with Mr Boatwright, whose surname evokes forefathers who were identified in their community by their skill in building boats, and no doubt respected for it.
The contemporary world of anonymous and ever-changing work and male-female relations (defined by one female author as The End of Men), must be a nightmare for some men. No wonder if they are nostalgic for another era.

I am quick here to say that I am no medieval fantasy and nostalgia is not the name of any bar in my Tavern. Believe that or not as you will. My story - or again that of the other younger chap - is the story of every man. And every man ought to familiarise himself with it.

And she may have overlooked the more complex realities of identity and manners back in my day when young Percy was raised in the forest by a single-mum and things were not so very different from today.

Carolyn was joined by my friend James who talked of the modern generational conflicts. These are of ideas as much as lingering anachronisms - and far more.  He was saying:

Generally speaking, the past few generations can be grouped this way:
The War Generation – born approximately 1920 to 1931
The Silent Generation – born approximately 1931 to 1946
The Baby Boomers – born approximately 1946 to 1961
Generation X – born approximately 1961 to 1976
Generation Y – born approximately 1976 to 1991
Generation Z – born approximately 1991 to 2003
It’s of note that these generations are not linear. Gen X are not the children of the Boomers but of the War Generation. It goes diagonally – the Boomers’ parents are the War Generation and their children are Gen Y. Gen X’s children are the current ones – Gen Z and you can see them on the streets in all their chav glory.
This is important as it explains why one generation would have little sympathy for the one diagonally opposite – they are not the children or the parents, they are the younger or older brothers or sisters.   Gen X are not the children of the Boomers.
War Generation
Born to parents who fought in the 1st World War, they themselves grew up in the Great Depression and fought in the 2nd World War. These people were generally into the old values and being careful with money, paying cash.
They were also naive enough to buy the necessity for war, as if it really was about country v country and not an exercise in population control by the global elite.

That was just the start. It is worthwhile hearing the rest at  http://nourishingobscurity.com/2013/07/19/the-generation-war/

Mankind itself is in Transition.

Almost every age we look back to has its older people bemoaning the conduct of its following generation. There is a pattern in there somewhere for those who look.

There are other patterns in the flow of history too.

Update: July 20

Bill cut into the discussion too. You can see him dropping in from the right side too:

http://www.billmuehlenberg.com/2013/07/19/the-war-we-are-in/
There are today three main competing ideologies and worldviews locked in fierce combat to see which will gain supremacy. They are the Judeo-Christian, the Muslim, and the secular humanist worldviews.
'Generations' seem to fall into focus.!

We are so mired in our everyday lives and the people around us that we lose the 'Big Picture' where the long, slow waves of human change crash against the shores of our soul.
The first and third have always been in conflict to one degree or another, while the second is a newer, 1400-year-old competitor.
I have spoken plenty about the conflict between the first two, so here I want to focus on the secular humanist war on Christianity. I have looked at this ideology before of course, and more background can be found here for example:
http://www.billmuehlenberg.com/2007/05/22/secular-religion/
I now more specifically want to examine how secular statism is at odds with Christianity. Indeed, it always has been. As the early church discovered, the secular state did not take kindly to this new faith, because it presented someone other than Caesar as lord.
That could not be tolerated, so persecution erupted very early on against these recalcitrant Christians. And this battle has always taken place. A secular state has always known that it cannot command the full allegiance of the masses if another competing ideology stands in the way.
Those who give obedience to a transcendent God can never be fully subservient to any human jurisdiction.

Thus throughout its 2,000 year history, hostile governments have sought to eradicate Christianity, or at least subvert it for its own purposes and subsume it under its own rule.
An important new book on this theme has just been released, and it will serve as the foundation of the rest of this piece. I refer to Benjamin Wiker’s Worshipping the State: How Liberalism became Our State Religion (Regnery, 2013).
In this vital volume Wiker hows how the modern liberal war against the faith is not new at all, and fits into this longstanding struggle between state supremacy and the supremacy of God. He rightly notes that secular liberalism is a political religion which cannot peacefully coexist with Christianity.
He offers an historical overview of this struggle, and spends much of his book examining political philosophy of the last 500 years. He notes that the separation of state and religion was first championed by Christianity. Before that the two were closely fused.
But when Jesus insisted on rendering to Caesar his due, and to God his, he revolutionised the way religion and politics interacted. And Christian resistance to the state began from the earliest times, with believers refusing to bow to the state.
So a war between these two allegiances has always existed. But it was during the past half millennium that the philosophical and ideological basis for this rejection of Christianity was carefully spelled out. Wiker closely examines the political thought of Machiavelli, Hobbes, Spinoza, Rousseau, Locke and others in this regard.
All these thinkers, in various way, saw Christianity as a threat to the political order, and believed that the state could not allow it to have free reign. It must be co-opted if not destroyed, if the liberal vision is to be realised and established. Their thoughts, especially as propagated in the universities, eventually held sway, and today we see secular liberalism as the de facto state religion in the West.
Although pretending neutrality, the modern secular liberal ideology is “itself a religion, or an anti-religion
– a complete worldview and an agenda in direct and fierce competition with Christianity. The domain covered by secular liberalism is as extensive as that of any religion and in particular of Christianity, the religion that it has displaced.”
It has its own cosmology (there is no god or spiritual reality, only deterministic materialism and physical cause and effect), and its own moral philosophy (there is no universal good and evil, with the maximisation of human pleasure and “rights” the chief end of man), and so on.
These two worldviews are at total odds with each other:
“Secular liberalism defines itself against Christianity,
self-consciously and dogmatically denying what Christianity affirms”.
Wiker nicely lays out a series of contrasting values, goals and emphases:
Christians believe that God exists, the universe has meaning, and we have purpose and significance because of God’s existence.
Liberals believe there is no God, the universe is ultimately meaningless, and there is nothing special about humanity.
Christians believe people are fallen and need God’s grace to be made right, while liberals deny the fallenness of humanity, and think we are perfectible by our own efforts.
Because of this, Christians believe all political and social life is tainted, and we cannot place our final hope in the state or this world.
Liberals see the state as saviour, and believe that human reason and political power can usher in an earthy paradise.
Christians see church and state as complementary institutions, each with their own jurisdiction and power. Liberals want to see the church totally subservient to the dictates of the state, with it alone being the sole source of authority and power.
Christians believe that human life is sacred because made in God’s image, and is thus worthy of protection. Liberals see no inherent value in human life, and believe the state can and should determine who should live and who should die. Christians see sexuality as something confined to the parameters of heterosexual marriage while liberals see it as an anything-goes affair in which every form of sexuality is regarded as equally valid and acceptable.
The 'Men's Rights sphere fights against just one aspect of this secular religion; Feminism.

But most MRAs just do not see the Big Picture. It is not only that Feminism and the destruction it has wreaked on family, law, education and human sexuality is the whole or even the main evil.  No. It is more.

Most MRAs do not see that they too have adopted many other aspects of the same secular religious philosophy of which feminism is just one womyn-centric expression.

The hunter-gatherer stage of life still captures the imaginations of those fearful of growing up. It was the Infanthood of mankind. Yet many people still think that it defines human behaviour. They would like to see us re-invent that era in the 'man-woman-manners-conduct-relationships' bizzo. It is what the secular-humanist, anti-human PTB want you to believe.

But just as we leave infanthood and caves behind and toddle to the makeshift tents made from settee arms and blankets, and on to the tree-houses of the pre-teens and the mortgaged terrace houses, apartments and McMansions of adulthood, so has Humanity struggled to grow through stages.

While we are in any one stage we find it hard to imagine any other, despite the evidence all around. The transitions are full of turmoil and we are swept along, resentfully.

We find it hard to let go of the past stage. Grown men and grown women at 35 retain all the moral wisdom of the 14 year old, and our massive 'entertainment Industry keeps them at that teen age.

Like the teenager we want the Power to take charge of it and make it the way we want it to be. All we have to fall back on is past, childhood, what has been, and our imaginations - the unreal - for what might be if we alone had our way.

So we make a Pact, as Faust did.

We seek to change the world around us but fail to see that the only 'thing' we have the inherent right and power to change is ourselves.

Occasionally we stop for a moment and wonder just what it is all about. What are we doing? What are we doing here? What is it about?

And I answer with a question.

Whom does the Grail serve?

Few ask it. Few even CAN ask it. Few even comprehend what it might mean.

Even fewer find the right answer amongst the huge number of possible wrong ones.

The Tavern is a refreshment stop on the Journey to the right answer.

Faust had to pay the Ultimate Price when his Pact terms fell due.

When he wanted all to stay 'just as it is'.

We cannot. We must not. We are on a long journey across generations and epochs. We have a destination.

The Village Idiot is No More.

The Tavern was in uproar with laughter today. People rolling on the floor holding their sides in. Not that we usually laugh at the village idiots, but Chloe Jennings-White seemed so typical of today's  peculiar set of malaises.

Anyway. It started with a chap reading out a news report from the paper.

Chloe Jennings-White reveals she wants surgery so she can be permanently disabled
No Cookies | Herald Sun
A WOMAN is so desperate to be disabled she is willing to undergo a $25,000 operation so she can live the rest of her life permanently in a wheelchair.

London-born Chloe Jennings-White uses a wheelchair and lives as if she is a paraplegic despite being completely able-bodied and a passionate skier.
Yes, these days you can do anything you want !! You are a Woman! You can ski, get a Boardroom Job by decree, live off a taxpayer or twenty, BE whoever you want!! Yeah.

The 58-year-old, who now lives in the US with her wife Danielle, said she had wanted to be disabled for as long as she could remember.
But it was only around five years ago that her unusual condition made sense when she was diagnosed with Body Integrity Identity Disorder

This is where the real roaring laughter started.

The condition' was upgraded recently in the DSM.
It used to be called 'Village Idiot'

The rare psychological condition makes sufferers feel they want to be disabled.
Ms Jennings-White told The Sun the only thing stopping her from getting the surgery, which would leave her permanently disabled, was a lack of money.
Cries of, "Taxpayer, taxpayer, where are you?" rang out from the Pin and Balloon drinkers.

There must be food-stamps at least for her. It is Obama's America, after all.
Of course there is always VAWA for a Grant.

She said she had even tried to have accidents so she could lose the use of her legs and that her surgery dream would be "the happiest day of my life".
Remember the days when a small child, even an idiot child, could be made happy with an ice-cream?
Ms Jennings-White even found a doctor overseas who was willing to cut her sciatic and femoral nerves.
One guy shouted "I have a doctor like that. Anything for a medicare buck."
She said: "I'll never be able to afford it, but I know I won't regret it if I ever can, and I don't know why it upsets people.
"It's the same as a transsexual man having his penis cut off. It's never coming back, but they know it's what they want."
She admitted she always wondered why she was born needing legs and the first time she sat in a wheelchair, which she had ordered off the internet, felt right.
You can tell what goes on in this woman's head. The Feminist Mantra - whoops, womantra - "if it feeeeels good, it IS good"
As a child and teenager she didn't tell anyone about her feelings but would bandage her legs up at home when she was alone so she could pretend she was disabled.
Ms Jenning's wife Danielle had no idea when they met in 2006 but Ms Jennings-White soon confessed after a back injury gave her the perfect excuse to wear leg braces.

Gasps of mock Shock and Horror. A woman cons a woman! Where will it all end ?  Rampant mock-misogyny was cornered amid all the howls of laughter and put in a cage for later display

It was during the search online for leg braces that she read about BIID for the first time and was relieved there were hundreds of others like her.
Despite Danielle doing all the housework and gardens, Ms Jennings-White said her wife was understanding.
 Complete mayhem broke out.

Grown men fell to the floor roaring.

People were spluttering between gales of laughter about the Government funded 'Equality' adverts coming soon, berating men for not doing the housework.  And Government funded Feminist adverts coming soon showing wives doing all the work inside and outside the home. And Government funded NGO adverts coming soon showing why disabled people's supporters/carers are frazzled.
"I told her it had been going on my whole life, and I couldn't stop. She was shocked but vowed to stand by me when I told her it was the only way I could be happy," she said.
The paper didn't actually ask Danielle
who was up on the roof
cleaning the gutters at the time.

It is good that this lunatic woman is not in Oz. The Government here is boasting about spending BILLIONS of taxpayers' bucks on the disabled. (Don't worry, it is only a Labour 'Promise'). These include perfectly fit people who are work-shy. They can play football and go clubbing, even skiing, but ask them to do some work for a living like the rest of us and they fall back on their medicare-funded crutches in a faint.

We won't let'em in the door here, but fortunately they have special Government-run Pubs.

I served a lot of beer when the laughing died down.

I reminded them of another young woman, Janine Shepherd, who was an Olympic level Oz skier. She had an accident which made her paraplegic. But she fought for her legs and worked hard to walk unaided again.

Despite not having any feeling in her feet, which stopped her getting back to world-class skiing, she continues to ski AND she took to flying, becoming an aerobatic pilot.

There ARE spunky women around.

Fine women who try hard and DO the hard yards, not 'feel' they want to be disabled when they are not.

Then we started musing about that poor child, being raised in Hilary Clinton's Village, saddled with two awful, stupid Village Idiots.

Defining your Identity

Updated. Ramz takes a look, below.

No-one in the Tavern describes themselves in terms of their sex. No-one comes in and announces, "I am a heterosexual" and expects everyone to praise him and buy him a pint by way of introduction. Not yet, anyway. But we do get Boy Scouts in here sometimes.

They are quite pleased to Identify themselves as Scouts, just as the local bricklayer is happy to be called a 'Brickie'. The occasional Bikie group comes through and none of them ever says "I am a proud heterosexual". Mostly they just grunt. Not gay at all. Nor do the Lawyers (yes we had two in last week) nor the Vineyard lady down the road, and I know she is because she has kiddies, a happy marriage and her wine does not curdle.

But Homosexuals.... that is the first thing they insist on you knowing. They define themselves by their perversion and we are expected to cheer.  Indeed, we are increasing obliged by law to cheer, support, praise and pay.

Homosexuals are the first to  define their identity based upon carnal appetites - for other males. But they will not be the last.

And they have a particular liking for boys and boy scouts. so much so that they have managed to pervert the idea of scouting and insist on being 'included'.

http://townhall.com/columnists/mattbarber/2013/07/15/nonsexualized-boy-scouts-alternative-launched-n1640596/page/full
Recently, millions of Americans were shocked and saddened when the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) disgracefully bowed to left-wing political pressure and became something it had never before been: a hyper-politicized, aberrantly sexualized petri dish for social and sexual experimentation.
Created in 1910 to “prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes,” the BSA, on May 23, 2013, inexplicably voted to welcome into its ranks “open and avowed” homosexuality (boy-on-boy sexual attraction and behavior), thereby disavowing the “morally straight” Scout Oath its members have been sworn to uphold for over a century.

Even worse, and in so doing, the BSA effectively waived the only legal defence it once had to preclude openly homosexual Scout leaders and gender-confused girls from its ranks: That defence? - religious and moral conviction.
It’s only a matter of time until the BSA is forced to capitulate to sexual extremists’ political demands and...
allow adult males who define their identity based upon carnal appetites for other males to take your boys on overnight camping trips.

This is particularly disquieting when you consider that homosexual assaults against boys occur at an alarmingly disproportionate rate when compared to heterosexual assaults.
Of course, not every “gay” man – self-identified or otherwise – is a paedophile, but, and despite baseless claims to the contrary, many studies indicate that a disturbing percentage of same-sex-attracted men are.
Consider, for instance, a study published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior, of over 200 convicted paedophiles and pederasts. It found that
“86 percent of offenders against males described themselves as homosexual or bisexual.”
This demonstrates, as notes Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council, that ...
“homosexual or bisexual men are approximately 10 times more likely to molest children than heterosexual men.”
That’s the bad news.
Here’s the good news: As the BSA leadership of fools rapidly sinks, those who desire a safe, non-sexualized alternative to the Boy Scouts now have a life raft. On Saturday, June 29, I, along with nearly 50 top Christian, youth and scouting leaders from across the nation, took part in a private, landmark meeting in Louisville, Ky.
The meeting was convened to lay the groundwork for a principled, values-based scout-like youth character development program for young men. Although some finishing touches remain (such as the organization’s official name), a press conference was recently held in Washington, D.C., to announce the launch of this exciting new organization.

“Our vision is to be the premier national character development organization for young men which produces Godly and responsible husbands, fathers, and citizens,” notes the news release.

“The new program will be an exciting and motivating outdoor-based program focused on leadership and character development for boys and founded on principles and values that reflect a Christian worldview.

“It will be open to all boys irrespective of race, religion, ethnicity, or national origin,” continues the release. “Parents from all faiths are welcome to place their children in the program.
While boys may come from every religious background, adult leaders in the program – from the National Board level to individual unit volunteers – will adhere to a standard statement of Christian faith and values.

The Boy Scout Association is a lost cause.

The Barrel of Apples is irretrievably rotten. Once the rot is introduced it could have been found and thrown out to save the barrel; but instead the Government forced more in. Homosexuals have 'Rights'

But it could become even worse.

Paedophiles want same rights as homosexuals
http://www.greeleygazette.com/press/?p=11517

They claim it is unfair to be stigmatized for sexual orientation.
Using the same tactics used by “gay” rights activists, pedophiles have begun to seek similar status arguing their desire for children is a sexual orientation no different than heterosexual or homosexuals.
Critics of the homosexual lifestyle have long claimed that once it became acceptable to identify homosexuality as simply an “alternative lifestyle” or sexual orientation, logically nothing would be off limits.
“Gay” advocates have taken offense at such a position insisting this would never happen. However, psychiatrists are now beginning to advocate redefining paedophilia in the same way homosexuality was redefined several years ago.
In 1973 the American Psychiatric Association declassified homosexuality from its list of mental disorders. A group of psychiatrists with B4U-Act recently held a symposium proposing a new definition of pedophilia in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders of the APA.
There IS a  Government job for you, corrupting Youth.

B4U-Act  calls paedophiles “minor-attracted people.” The organization’s website states its purpose is to, “help mental health professionals learn more about attraction to minors and to consider the effects of stereotyping, stigma and fear.”
Paedophilia has already been granted protected status by the Federal Government.
The Matthew Shephard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act lists “sexual orientation” as a protected class; however, it does not define the term

Meanwhile, for those not in the boy scouts, other groups are springing up to 'help' boys 'express' themselves. Very young boys.

A Boys' Camp to Redefine Gender
http://www.slate.com/blogs/behold/2013/07/15/_you_are_you_looks_at_a_gender_nonconforming_camp_for_boys_photos.html?fb_ref=sm_fb_share_blogpost
Over the past three years, photographer Lindsay Morris has been documenting a four-day camp for gender nonconforming boys and their parents.
The camp, “You Are You” (the name has been changed to protect the privacy of the children and is also the name of Morris’ series), is for “Parents who don’t have a gender-confirming 3-year-old who wants to wear high heels and prefers to go down the pink aisle in K-Mart and not that nasty dark boys’ aisle,” Morris said with a laugh.
Hello. Do we hear a hint of MISANDRY?

It is also a place for both parents and children to feel protected in an environment that encourages free expression.

“[The kids] don’t have to look over their shoulders, and they can let down their guard. Those are four days when none of that matters, and they are surrounded by family members who support them,” Morris said.

So, at 3 years old a little boy who wants to 'freely express' himself by wearing his sister's clothes will get a supportive environment. And an encouraging  pat on his bottom. Maybe a caress. I wonder what he will get if he expresses himself by shitting on the carpet in the club room. A smack? Possibly. Expression can be taken too far.

What if he wants to dress up as Superman?

Not a Chance.

Super-girl is OK though.

This is a giggling lunatic deliberately manipulating toddlers; perverting their normal development.

RamzPaul took a look at the boy's camp and told us about it. He was quite excited ! Hahahaha.

Banking on Rudd, and dodgy Genes ?

Added content below.
Money seems to be on the minds of everyone again now K.Rudd is back. His total mismanagement which set the pace for his traitorous protégé Ju-Liar Gillard has left Australia with a $200 BILLION debt and he is unlikely to reduce it. The man has a 'character'. And 'genes' may be the issue.

But how can he tackle the debts without taking more from the Taxpayer? The talk in the Pin Bar shows us.

The answer seems to be in the air and in the small print of the APRA, the guys that 'regulate'.  They are following the 'dictats' of the Global Wallahs with whom  KRudd just loves to party. They say that everyone with a bank account is going to lose their hard earned savings, shirt, skirt, knickers and all.

Yes, they WILL favour the Big Banks and the impact will be on your savings.

But Andy Sutton and Graham Mehl , a couple of analysts have their eyes on him and dropped in for a swift pint or two. This is what they had to say.

Australia, through its budgetary process, has endorsed the global bail-in resolution mechanism for GSIFI’s (Globally Active Systemically Important Financial Institutions).

One by one, the G20 has succumbed to the bail-in resolution mechanism. And it has been a very subtle process.
You won’t hear about this on any of your favorite ‘news’
and opinion-shaping programs.
The globalist elite are playing chess and the Proletariat are playing checkers. We obviously can’t shame anyone into looking out for themselves. We can beg, implore, beseech with hat in hand, but we can’t force this on you.
You have the right to your ignorance just as we have the right to ours about the things that you might be passionate about.
The big difference is this affects everyone.
We are no better and no worse than any other pair of analysts who might someday look upon 2013 and comment and critique. Our plea comes from the heart and from a duty to both God in Heaven and our respective nations to spread the truth.

Let’s get to some details from Australia. It is difficult to assign credit, but we first discovered the information on the ‘Barnaby is Right’ blog with direct citations to Australian government budget documents.
We have no reason to doubt the validity of the information at this point, especially given the fact that the blog cites Australian Treasury documents and the links are valid. It is pretty obvious that there is a good effort underway to hide these revelations as much as possible and our thanks go out to everyone who is digging on behalf of the Earth’s population.

The two snippets from Australia’s budgetary docs tell most of the story in very similar fashion to how the story was told in the FDIC/BOE collaboration and the separate but eerily similar BIS whitepaper:

The term ‘bail-in’ as applied in Cyprus has now become accepted jargon for the ....
fleecing of bank depositors to restore liquidity
....in a failed GSIFI. The mechanism is identical, even down to the establishment of a ‘bridge institution’.
The USFed has several of these: ‘Maiden Lane 1,2, and 3, LLC’. They contain the junk assets from now defunct financial institutions. You can find the Maiden Lanes in the weekly H.41 releases from the USFed here. These are the types of bridge institutions we’re referring to.
However, the bridge institutions are not what should concern depositors most. The next snippet, from page 134 of the budgetary document, deals with the responsibilities of APRA (Australian Prudential Regulation Authority). See below:
There are some rays of light shone into areas not covered in the expository blog that broke the story. Note the portion at the beginning of this paragraph detailing APRA’s responsibility to help institutions adapt to the ‘continued caution of households’. You may interpret this in the following manner: households aren’t borrowing and spending enough, so we need to figure out how to help the banking system create enough inflation to simulate (not stimulate) growth.

Furthermore, the document states that there is an expectation that this condition will continue for sometime. To break it down, what Australia suffers from is identical to that of the rest of the G20: stagnant aggregate demand and upward pressure on end-user prices, also known as persistent stagflation.

And the chicken dinner winner is that APRA is tasked with focusing on implementing the ‘new global bank liquidity framework’ in Australia.
How nice.
We hereby submit to all the detractors, naysayers and threat-makers from March and April that they can proceed to the nearest pier and take a long walk – straight off. The bail-in mentality is real, it is here, and it is either already present in your land of domicile or is well on its way.

“If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”
Sam Adams

For those of us that have savings, the message was taken aboard. Not that our monetary savings with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia compare with the stores we are building up in the Celestial Bank of Angels.

Meanwhile the demands for more and more money to be thrown into the education pit, a  Union and female dominated pit of course, is running into a very different problem.

"Genes" a reason poor kids struggle at school,
says Australian government report.
 http://www.couriermail.com.au/money/money-matters/genes8221-a-reason-poor-kids-struggle-at-school-says-government-report/story-fnihpjrg-1226677476327

This is rather amazing to see; the unspeakable spoken, albeit with a lot of hedging.
RICH kids do better at school and poor children struggle due to genetic "inherited abilities", the Federal Government's top policy research agency says.
In a controversial new report released today, the Productivity Commission cites "parents' cognitive abilities and inherited genes" as one of five main reasons why kids from low-income families lag behind those from wealthy homes.
You can prove this is a girl by taking her Jeans off.

Genes are listed before access to books and computers, parental attention and aspirations, and even schools.
In a section entitled "inherited abilities", the 246-page staff working paper states that "one explanation for differences in educational attainment between children of low and high socio-economic backgrounds is parents' cognitive abilities and inherited genes".
But are 'good choices' genetically determined?

Citing a British study, it suggests that "inherited cognitive abilities" explain one-fifth of the gap in test scores between children from the richest and poorest families, once environmental factors are taken into account.
"Genetic explanations for children's success at school is a controversial and complex area because of interactions between genes and the environment," the report says.
"Evidence is now emerging that the same genetic endowment can result in different outcomes depending on the environment".
The Productivity Commission notes that Australia has one of the highest rates of joblessness among families in the developed world, with nearly one in five families unemployed.
It cites two research studies showing that unemployed parents have "poorer parenting skills", with their children 13.4 per cent more likely to lie or fight, and 7.6 per cent more likely to be bullied.
The Productivity Commission also links learning success to "character traits such as perseverance, motivation and self-esteem".
KRudd is called a Narcissist. He did well at school, apparently. Well enough to learn how to scheme and manipulate, bully and ingratiate.

Meanwhile of course, the Labour Party and KRudd will continue to claim that more Money - taxpayers' money - is needed, and continue to lamblast the 40% of Australian families that have deserted the public school system. They not only pay extra for their children's schooling but also give better genetic underpinnings.
The report on "Deep and Persistent Disadvantage in Australia", made public today, says poor children are "behind the eight-ball" when they start school and the gap widens as they grow older.
Poorer children may have less access to books, computers or study space than kids from well-off families, it says.
And parents' aspirations and attitudes to education "vary strongly with
socio-economic position".
Better educated parents tend to spend more time reading to children and helping with homework, the report says.
"Evidence on why some disadvantaged children 'buck the trend' to succeed in later life suggests that the level of parental interest and parents' behaviour are important," it says.
"Attending school with higher-achieving or more advantaged peers seemed to be associated with a higher probability of bucking the trend.
"While inherited genes influence their development, the quality of family environments, and the availability of appropriate experiences at various stages of development, are crucial for building capabilities."

Character Traits can Help or Hinder.
Indeed, help or hinder whole Nations.
The Productivity Commission cites the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) international PISA tests of 15-year-olds in reading, maths and science.
"Results from the PISA show that economically advantaged parents are more likely to have read to their children regularly, sung songs, talked about what they had done during the day, and read signs aloud to their children," the report says.

But, we are happy to share a pint with the lads and watch the flags. Even the thick, the lame and the lazy can, with effort, get to heaven, although I doubt many will be Heroes or Saints. Kevin is a very unlikely candidate.
