We get homosexuals in our Tavern. Both the male and female varieties. I have no problem as long as they behave as nicely as the other customers and don't pee on the carpets. No-one here seems in the slightest bit afraid of them.
Most are very nice people. One can count them amongst our friends. Yet constantly we hear that we heterosexual folk are homophobic.
Buggered if I can see it m'self if you'll excuse the pun. I have never met anyone who is afraid of homosexuals, unless of course its that biker chap in the skin-tight leather shorts that some are a little wary of and then it is only because of his demeanour (very broad, tattooed shoulders on the lad) and the grunting when he sits on his bike. Poor chap has a 'squash' issue, but that is his problem.
Some people are scared somewhat by the lawyers that homosexuals hire to sue anyone who even gives an askance look. But scared of queers (their word)?
No.
Nor phobic.
A 'Shrink' frequents the Tavern and was pondering out loud the other evening. I can't mention his name because he comes under the same rules that won't allow a dentist to have his name on TV. Even though this mental health professional doesn't pull teeth.
He was saying that a 'Phobia' is an atavistic fear. By that he meant it is rooted in very early human evolution when we had to be scared, quickly, if we were to survive. It only takes one exposure to a threatening 'thing' or situation for a human being to 'learn' to be afraid, of an atavistic threat instead of the dozens of exposures that other 'things' or situations require for us to learn something. It acts upon the 'flight or fight' mechanisms, it seems.
We do not 'learn' a phobia. People may be phobic' about snakes and spiders or even heights,
but never about martinis, ball-point pens or homosexual people.
In fact there is no known case of a person being Phobic about a homosexual other person.
And.... a Phobia is a 'mental condition' even if applicable to most people. A Phobia affects their life. The fear has them constantly on the alert. Open spaces; heights; spiders; whatever it is, is such a fear that people are made quite unable to function easily. It can ruin lives unless 'treated'.
Such fearful people are to be pitied and helped.
Not 'blamed'. Not made 'criminal'.
So why do homosexuals so often claim that you or the next chap/chapesse is homophobic?
And blame people for it.
Why do homosexuals make a big fuss and claim that THEY are offended by someone's fear?
Well, the shrink chap had an answer to that.
Homosexuals are averse to the opposite sex.
They fear the opposite sex. (What they would call a Phobia).
They project that fear onto YOU.
And the reasons go deeper than that atavistism. It goes as deep as the fundamental structure of Human beings.
Humanity, he said, is one species with two quite distinct parts. Male and female.
It is the 'task' of a person to know themselves and to know what being human is all about. But any one person can only know his or her own sex directly.
To know humanity fully one has to have an intimate knowledge of someone of the opposite sex.
It is only through a thorough and deep connection, an Intimate connection, lasting decades, that a person can glean an understanding of how a person of the opposite sex experiences life. Without that, half of their own humanity remains a stranger to them.
One must have that even vicarious understanding to know fully what it is to be human.
Human beings of either sex can only know so much about themselves and require a totally trusted 'other' of the opposite sex to show them, through their life together, parts of themselves that can only be seen by someone else. Highly intimate things about our deepest life. Aspects of our psyche or souls, in non-shrink terms.
You cannot see what is behind your ears or the back of your head. And you cannot see behind parts of your psyche either.
Someone else has to tell you. They are your mirror.
But homosexuals fear that depth of intimacy that shows themselves fully. They won't 'risk'. They won't confront those parts of themselves that only an opposite sex person can show them.
So they form a relationship with someone of their own sex. The one sex they already know and are comfortable with. And it cannot show them those aspects they cannot see.
They cannot form the deep relationship, the Intimate relationship available to opposite sex partners. All they can do is skate over the surface of a normal heterosexual union and claim it is the same.
That is painful to their psyche. Self-inflicted.
That 'enrages' as a deep level.
And that is the rage that Homosexuals direct at heterosexuals. Projected self-rage.
It is a fury exacerbated by denial.
Well, that's what the 'Shrink' says.
I guess one could go further and expect that rage to be intensified by the deliberate denial of the human reproductive need. Homosexuals men cannot have a baby together. Pass on their genes. Nor can lesbians. They are each kept apart from life-giving.
It is no use throwing rice at a gay Wedding.
Rice is a symbol of fecundity. Fertility.
The life they choose denies their very humanity at a very deep level.
Buy them a drink, but don't throw rice at their faux-wedding.
Occasionally we get someone so welcomed in the Tavern that it even causes me to change my shirt and comb my beard. So it was when Angela Shanahan came by.
Of the journalists and commentators in Australia that get my attention, Angela is right up there in the top five. Rarely does she fail to make a pertinent point or fail to defend some crucial aspect of our society.
A Heroine for Truth. Courageous. Faithful.
She has been over in Rome for a conference and dropped by so that we Spectators could get the good and Holy oil straight from the source.
I have been spending the week in Rome, having breakfast and dinner most days with Pope Francis I. Literally. How did a suburban mum from Canberra end up sharing digs, and dinners, with His Holiness, not to mention narrowly avoiding collision with the successor of Peter, coming and going from his rooms at Casa Santa Marta, within the precincts of the Vatican?
I am here for a conference of jurists and other lay people about the rights of the family for the
Pontifical Council for the Family.
My role is to speak as an Australian journalist and commentator, specifically about the image of the family in Australia. The conference is aimed at updating the Charter of Rights of the Family, first published during the pontificate of John Paul II in 1983. I have chosen to speak about the dissonance between the media imagery of family and the reality.
Consistent message is best from a consistent observer, critic, commentator and educator. Angela combines these qualities in her Journalism. It is a wise choice of delegate to the Conference as her knowledge of the Australian scene is first class and stable.
To my astonishment, the invitation included accommodation at Santa Marta where the Pope now lives, and where he dines almost daily in the common dining room.
To say that this presents some unprecedented problems of etiquette for the average layperson, like me, is an understatement. I knew Pope Francis lived at Santa Marta, but I had not really expected that I would see him every day, sometimes twice a day at close range, using the common front entrance and doing things like eating his dinner in the cafeteria and getting in and out of the lift, as well as formally receiving lines of people after mass at the chapel.
One American delegate — an eminent jurist from New York — was so shocked when he suddenly walked out of the lift and, lo and behold, there was Francis standing ready to get into the lift. All his careful preparation went out the mental window and all he could manage was a faltering ‘Oh… Hi!… er, Pope.’
The atmosphere in the dining room when Pope Francis enters is completely relaxed. He simply walks in unannounced, sits a little apart with some companions, usually chats with the staff, and after a slight lull in the conversations everyone carries on, only sometimes giving his table the odd covert glance. In fact, one tends to forget he is there, until he leaves and everyone stands up.
Personally I see this as de-mystifying the role of Pope. It is akin to the CEO of a large International organisation (which the Catholic Church is) eating his lunch in the staff dining room. Good management practice where practicable.
There is an unspoken feeling that it is important to protect the Pope’s privacy, but at the same time as he himself said, he needs to stay among ordinary people for his own sake. The Pope’s visibility and accessibility also presents problems for his frazzled security, although they have obviously been told not to be too vigilant in the confines of Santa Marta. I even managed to get a couple of admittedly, sneaked candid shots of His Holiness, once with the enthusiastic collusion of a bishop from Ghana, who being African was somewhat dismissive of ‘those rules’.
The conference is being held at Urbaniana University high up on the Janiculum hill, which without doubt has the most spectacular views from St Peter’s to the whole of Rome right out to the mountains.
Those who are not staying at Santa Marta can enjoy the beautiful gardens, a real oasis. The seminarians sing beautifully during Mass and when I look up to the choir I notice something interesting, the face of the church,....
and they are all black or brown.
This is an observation that seems to reflect the changing demographic of the Church.
It ought not to be unexpected as the Church has almost exhausted itself in Europe while now benefitting from the fruits of several hundred years of Missionary activity in Africa, Asia and South America.
Conferencing is hard work and after mass we spend most of the day cooped up in the conference centre with multiple translation earphones glued to our heads. My speech goes down well. But halfway through I see Archbishop Paglia, who heads the Pontifical Council for the Family directorate, signalling madly for me to slow down. The problem? The Italian translation takes about a third longer than English.
Not that the translators usually have to tackle the Aussie twang !
It turns out that John and I have mutual friends in Sydney. In fact, so many people know other people that one could almost be forgiven for thinking that the Catholic mafia really exists.
The papers and discussions range over a wide area of topics related to the family and there are some fascinating insights, particularly on the role of women, marriage and the life issues.
For example, there is consensus among the north Americans that
the battle against abortion has been ‘won’ by the pro-life side
(unlike in Australia).
All the opinion surveys point to this, but what is even more evident is the youth and diversity of the pro-life movement. Gone is the divide that saw the old Catholic pro-lifers versus the ‘progressives’.
Hmmm. I wonder. They conference people may show that but on the streets...? In the Media?The 'Progressives' (a code word used by Socialists, Cultural Marxists and their fellow-travelling Feminists) seem to be very much on the high-ground, up with the 'Elite', destroying as much as they can in the lower lands of society.
The movement in the US is incredibly diverse: women, men and gay and straight. It has taken long enough for people to see the obvious about killing the unborn, but science is on our side.
However, one interesting point was that there is no correlation between the pro-life cause and the fight against gay marriage,
which many young people cannot understand breaks the essential generative function of the marriage relationship.
The church has been much less successful in forming that narrative.
In Tasmania the 'progressives' seem to be 'winning' on all fronts with the Gay marriage 'equality' issue and Abortion and Euthanasia being so high on the Socialist-Feminist Governments agenda, ahead of being thrown out of office at the next election. And no wonder. The Catholic Church in Oz is so diluted with wishy-washy Church of Nice people, both Cleric and lay, and their 'Zozschial Justiz' agenda, that effective protest is muted almost to silence.
On the last day of the conference Archbishop Paglia let slip the new Pope’s insistence on vigorous consultation for his new papacy.
Paglia is insistent that we are going in a new direction.
He quotes the Holy Father just after his election saying,
‘I need your advice… don’t hold back, or you will be going behind my back!’
We all feel honoured and privileged to be part of that advice-forming process. As I make my way back to Santa Marta, and the Swiss guards salute, I reflect that it is unlikely that I shall ever be in such company again.
Thankfully she came straight to the tavern for a grand welcome home.
The Taverner's customers are all aware of the 'conventional' political divide into Left and Right. Not that I would go along with an 'axis' which is more like a circle, with the nasty ideologies congregating at the bottom.
Most of the Western world, the Anglophile world recognises the horror of the Nazis but all too many still regard the Communists as being somehow 'better' or at least less wicked. Some, indeed, regard Communism and it's seditious little sister Socialism as benign.
They fail to acknowledge that the
Nazis were Socialists.
The National Socialist Workers Party of Germany is the full name that Nazi is but a shortened form. They were so close in their totalitarian view of power and of the value of human life - nil to both Nazi and Communist - that they allied for the first few years of WW2.
Almost total across the Anglophile and the European nations there is a revulsion against 'Fascists' but a blindness and denial about Socialists. It is as though the use of the word 'fascist' has been deliberately spread in order to take the spotlight off 'socialist'.
It is a Mendacity.
Indeed the infiltration of Marxist ideology into our education system has elevated the most evil people to a sort of heroic status. While decrying the Nazi's 6 million victim holocaust they conveniently divert attention away from the far greater enormity of the Communists.

Robin Shepherd came by to set a few records straight. Or at least straighter than is taught.
Why isn't the Black Book of Communism on the curriculum of every school in Europe?
Because it isn't exhaustive enough?
Because its authors lack credibility?
Because there is still more to be understood and researched on the matter?
At more than 850 pages of carefully sifted evidence by a group of top-level scholars from a variety of countries and disciplines, the Black Book is as solid a piece of scholarship as any other you'll find being taught in our schools.
Is it definitive? How could it be? Communist regimes went to great lengths to conceal their crimes, and one of the most oppressive of all, North Korea, still exists to this day.
What the book does is use the best available evidence to give a sense of the scale of what we are dealing with.
In introducing the Black Book, lead author Stephane Courtois, Director of Research at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in Paris, offers the following rough breakdown of the numbers of people that communism killed:
USSR -- 20 million China -- 65 million Vietnam -- 1 million North Korea -- 2 million Cambodia -- 2 million Eastern Europe -- 1 million Latin America -- 150,000 Africa -- 1.7 million Afghanistan -- 1.5 million Communist movements, parties not in power -- 10,000
In total, this is not far short of 100 million deaths at the hands of a single ideology.
Nothing like this has ever happened before. (As an aside, my personal view is that the Nazi Holocaust of the Jews was the greatest single crime of the modern era, while communism was the greatest criminal system.)
To be sure, these numbers are approximations. Courtois gives a figure of 20 million for the Soviet Union. Alexander Yakovlev, formerly the chairman of Russia's Presidential Commission for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression, estimates the numbers executed or done to death in prisons and camps for purely political reasons at 20-25 million.
But, in his book A Century of Violence in Soviet Russia, he reminds us not to forget the 5.5 million victims of famine in the Civil War and the 5 million in the artificial famine of the 1930s. Other respected authorities offer even higher numbers.
This is far less popular in Universities. There the Blind lead the blinder.
What should be clear from the Soviet Union and beyond is the staggering scale of what we are being asked to internalise.
Apologists have adopted a number of strategies --
beyond outright denial which lasted for decades.
One of the most popular and enduring is that we should not spend much time on the crimes of communism because Western countries have also committed crimes, most particularly when they had their empires.
To say that this is disingenuous is an understatement.
Even if it were true that Western countries had committed similar crimes -- which it most certainly isn't -- why would that be an obstacle to discussing the crimes of communism? Jack the Ripper isn't any the less of a killer because Ted Bundy was too.
But more importantly, Western imperialism was no more oppressive, and in many ways it was a good deal less oppressive, than any of the other imperialisms throughout history.
The British Empire was the first ever to abolish slavery, for example.
In any case, imperialism isn't a blueprint for societal governance. It isn't in the same category as ideologies such as communism, fascism, Nazism or even liberal-democratic capitalism anyway.
This is all easy to pin down, which brings us back to the question posed at the beginning of this piece:
Why isn't the Black Book of Communism on the curriculum of every school in Europe?
The answer is not all that difficult to get to. The reason why the crimes of communism are given so little societal prominence is that
very large sections of Western political society were supporters of or apologists for the Leftist ideology that gave rise to those crimes.
To talk openly about the history of communism is to talk openly about the history of the Left. And even among those who were not communists themselves, vast swathes inside the Leftist tradition stayed far too close to the communists for comfort.
It's their very dirty big secret, and although they can't do much these days about tracts such as the Black Book of Communism lying on the dusty top shelves of our public libraries, they'll be damned if they're going to start handing them out to children in the classrooms.
Of course, I am using the school curriculum issue as a proxy for a wider reluctance fully to come to terms with one of history's darkest chapters.
The angry reaction of the British Left this week to the Daily Mail's discussion of Labour leader Ed Miliband's Marxist father suggests that that reluctance is as deeply embedded as ever.
The Tavern is a haven for Freedom. It recognises that everything has a limit, a boundary that defines it and distinguishes it. But Totalitarian boundaries expel people, human beings, from any self-determination. Socialism holds the State as being a 'Higher Power'.
Higher than the individual or life itself.

Have you ever wondered what Lion Tamers do when their lions are on holiday or held up in customs quarantine?
This old Knight is used to the grace and athleticism of the ballet - not that I do a pas de deux or a pirouette m'self - but never have I seen it done so spectacularly as this short piece that was 'put-on' in the Music Room last night.
The two phenomena dancing were introduced by Ladybug, the lovely lady who has a Table in this Tavern's restaurant especially laid with the finest linen and cutlery. Not that she is the only one, mind you. Special ladies get special service and she is special.
So sit back and be astonished at a piece of ballet that the composer never envisaged.

The beautiful girl was as fluid as the water of the lake.
And while the male dancers in ballet are under-lauded (apart from one or two) that chap did really well. I hope he is as good with the lions.
The circling swans were pretty good too (and pretty). They are usually on the ticket booths and chasing the clowns around.
It reminded me of what happened to the Romanian Olympic Gymnastic team when the Communists were chucked out. (I think it was them. These east European/balkan types are all the same to me) The boys and girls had no funding for their training and things looked bleak.
Until an entrepreneurial American fellow came along and turned them into dancers and took them on tour.
I must find them and get them over for a night of sweaty choreographicals.
They were magnificent.

This old Knight could have been an astronomer. Or a philosopher. Monks used to be both and I still do my time in the cellar on my knees. Not that much was discovered back in my youthful days, in regard to stars and such: not like now. Even less was discovered turning over rocks in the head although there were quite a few illuminated manuscripts produced.
But today we have an enormous industry in Astronomy, with astronomical amounts of money -

- being spent on stuff that you rarely get to see.
Yes, we get to see photos of stars and such. Beautiful too. And our astronomers are a damned sight more productive than they were 1000 years ago when I was just a junior farm-boy, third grade.
Now I can get a good look at the Knight's Sky.
Such a lot was going on back then too. Stars blowing up in the distant blackness of space are just being seen now.
MOST of what we can see now could not be seen at all in previous eras.
Even we ourselves are only just being seen.
We have come a long way, and that due to YOU paying up really big to provide the star-gazing chaps and chapesses with stuff to play with.
And offices. And quite fine salaries.
And really big telescopes.
Some off this planet and floating around at 25000 mph. Or there about.
And many are on the tops of mountains. Like the ESO's VLT in the Atacama Desert.
You have to be a geographer to know where that is.

Navigating the Cosmos by Quasar

50 million light-years away a quasar resides in the hub of galaxy NGC 4438, an incredibly bright source of light and radiation that’s the result of a supermassive black hole actively feeding on nearby gas and dust (and pretty much anything else that ventures too closely.) Shining with the energy of 1,000 Milky Ways, this quasar — and others like it — are the brightest objects in the visible Universe… so bright, in fact, that they are
used as beacons for interplanetary navigation by various exploration spacecraft.

Deep-space missions require precise navigation, especially when approaching bodies such as Mars, Venus, or comets. It’s often necessary to pinpoint a spacecraft traveling 100 million km from Earth to within just 1 km.
To achieve this level of accuracy, experts use quasars – the most luminous objects known in the Universe – as beacons in a technique known as Delta-Differential One-Way Ranging, or delta-DOR.
Delta-DOR uses two antennas in distant locations on Earth (such as Goldstone in California and Canberra in Australia) to simultaneously track a transmitting spacecraft in order to measure the time difference (delay) between signals arriving at the two stations.
Unfortunately the delay can be affected by several sources of error, such as the radio waves traveling through the troposphere, ionosphere, and solar plasma, as well as clock instabilities at the ground stations.
Delta-DOR corrects these errors by tracking a quasar that is located near the spacecraft for calibration — usually within ten degrees. The chosen quasar’s direction is already known extremely well through astronomical measurements, typically to closer than 50 billionths of a degree (one nanoradian, or 0.208533 milliarcsecond). The delay time of the quasar is subtracted from that of the spacecraft’s, providing the delta-DOR measurement and allowing for amazingly high-precision navigation across long distances.
“Quasar locations define a reference system. They enable engineers to improve the precision of the measurements taken by ground stations and improve the accuracy of the direction to the spacecraft to an order of a millionth of a degree.” – Frank Budnik, ESA flight dynamics expert
So even though the quasar in NGC 4438 is located 50 million light-years from Earth, it can help engineers position a spacecraft located 100 million kilometers away to an accuracy of several hundred meters. People who frequent this Tavern are sometimes called intolerant. Or worse. But many have a clear eye for hypocricy. True, some are not very faithful themselves; even the Tavern-Keeper has had his unquality-time. The media however is in a constant unquality. And it is in denial too. The past week has seen carnage out in the world. The media report some but ignore a lot. And they divert attention by their mis-use of words. They sell mendacity. The 'War on Terror' for example focused attention on 'Militants', differentiating them from 'Moderates'. Moderates stand in Mosques and preach hatred and mayhem. Militants do it. Bill M had a few things to say and so did the Head of the Vatican Court. First Bill Muehlenberg:

A good Muslim not only obeys the Koran to the letter, but he also sees Muhammad as the perfect example. Thus if he killed for the faith, then so should they. So when we see Muslims killing non-Muslims today, they are simply being true and faithful Muslims.
They are not extremists or fundamentalists, as the media likes to call them. They are simply being true Muslims.
The so-called moderate Muslims are the ones who are not being true Muslims, as they disobey their own Koran, and do not follow the example of the Prophet.
So when we read about 50 students killed as they slept in their dormitories, and their college set alight in Nigeria – just after the Nairobi Westgate shopping mall slaughter of last week - this is just normal practice for normal Muslims.
It is not an aberration,
but common Islamic practice.
As Pam Geller puts it concerning this latest massacre, “The devout Muslim group, Boko Haram, gunned down dozens of students as they slept in dormitories, and torched classrooms. Boko Haram means ‘Western education is sinful’ or literally, ‘Books Bad.’
“The media's use of the word 'militants' for these devout savages is particularly despicable.
The media is aligned with the jihad force.
Well over 12,000 Christians have been slaughtered by Muslims in Nigeria.
Despite the daily attacks from this Muslim group, Boko Haram, Obama continues to refuse to designate them a terrorist group.”
Violence in the life of Muhammad and in the Koran
Muhammad himself engaged in numerous religious wars, acts of violent jihad, and bloodletting. Of course while he was in Mecca for 12-13 years he did not resort to violence. But with the refusal of the people to embrace his new religion he was forced to flee to Medina.
It was there that he said Allah revealed to him that he must fight for the faith, and that he did. He led raiding parties, ordered revenge attacks, engaged in the torture and killing of his enemies, and commanded massacres. His last 10 years at Medina cemented his record as a warlord, a man of violence, and a promoter of bloody jihad.
And all this is fully enjoined in the Islamic holy book as well. I will not here look at the hadith as well, but just offer a sampling of passages from the Koran. These suras (chapters) make it quite clear that the devout Muslim must kill for the faith, just as Muhammad did:
“Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them.” Koran 2:191
“Muslims must not take the infidels as friends.” 3:28
“Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable.” 3:85
“Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam” 5:33
“Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an.” 8:12
“Muslims must muster all weapons to terrorize the infidels.” 8:60
“The unbelievers are stupid; urge the Muslims to fight them.” 8:65
“When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them.” 9:5
“The infidels are unclean; do not let them into a mosque.” 9:28
“Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.” 9:29
“The Jews and the Christians are perverts; fight them.” 9:30
“Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood.” 9:123
“Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water; melt their skin and bellies.” 22:19
“Do not hanker for peace with the infidels; behead them when you catch them.” 47:4
Thus all the horrific acts of butchery, barabarism, and horror just witnessed in Africa and Pakistan in the last week alone all come straight out of the book – and out of the life and example of Muhammad. Muslims kill today because Muhammad killed – and because they are ordered to so in the Koran.
Muslims terrorise and slay innocent men, women and children because Muhammad did – and their sacred writings command them to. So who is being the true Muslim here? It is quite clear. The “moderates” are not being true to their own faith and their own heritage. The jihadists are.
That is why we should not be asking the question, “Are there moderate Muslims?” of course there are. Perhaps the majority of Muslims are. But that is not the issue.
The real issue is, “Is Islam moderate?”
And the answer to that question is,
'Absolutely not’.
Islam is not just another religion. It is at heart a political ideology and a cult of death. It brooks no rivals, and it followers are ordered to kill all infidels. Everyone must submit to Allah, or face the sword, or live as dhimmies. There are no other options in Islam.
That is why we must not appease those who have sworn to kill us. We must not compromise with those who have vowed to annihilate us.
While we seek to pray for, love and win for the gospel individual Muslims, we must never capitulate to the political ideology of Islam.
It is every bit as horrible as Communism and Nazism were. And even worse yet is the sheer silence of Western Christians about the slaughter of our brothers and sisters elsewhere. As Kirsten Powers asks, where is the outcry from believers in the West?
“Christians in the Middle East and Africa are being slaughtered, tortured, raped, kidnapped, beheaded, and forced to flee the birthplace of Christianity. One would think this horror might be consuming the pulpits and pews of American churches. Not so. The silence has been nearly deafening.
The West needs to wake up to the ugly reality of Islam. And Western Christians need to repent of their utter lack of concern about the millions of Christians who have been persecuted and slaughtered by the ‘religion of peace’ over the centuries.
The leaders of Christian Churches plead a very different Creed.
Silently.
They say 'Love the sinner'. And they do quite well at that. Perhaps a bit too well.
Loving well but not wisely in many cases.
Recently the Leader of the House in American politics went on her usual excuse-filled orgy of support for the murdering of babies. She claims to be a catholic.
She is not.
She is no more a Catholic than the average 20 year old girl who falls for the smarmy charms of a Muslim bloke and converts. She wears her Burka like a teenage badge of defiance. Pelosi wears her religion to deflect criticism. And so far it has worked.

Pelosi sits atop a pile of 50 Million murdered American babies,
and Christians need to repent of their utter lack of concern about that too.

It has worked because no Prince of the Church has called her out on it.

Vatican Chief Justice: Nancy Pelosi Must Be Denied Communion
Because of her longstanding support for abortion, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), a Catholic, must be denied Communion under the law of the Catholic Church, said Cardinal Raymond Burke, head of the highest court at the Vatican.
Cardinal Burke referenced his remarks about Pelosi to Canon Law--the law governing the Catholic Church--and specifically Canon 915, which says those Catholics who obstinately persevere "in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion."
"Certainly this is a case when Canon 915 must be applied," said Cardinal Burke in an interview reprinted on Sept. 5 in The Wanderer, a national Catholic weekly.
"This is a person who obstinately, after repeated admonitions, persists in a grave sin--cooperating with the crime of procured abortion--and still professes to be a devout Catholic."
"This is a prime example of what Blessed John Paul II referred to as the situation of Catholics who have divorced their faith from their public life and therefore are not serving their brothers and sisters in the way that they must--in safeguarding and promoting the life of the innocent and defenseless unborn, in safeguarding and promoting the integrity of marriage and the family," said the cardinal.
In mid-June at a Capitol Hill press conference, Pelosi was asked if there is a moral difference between aborting a baby at 26 weeks and what Dr. Kermit Gosnell did in Philadelphia in delivering babies alive at 23 weeks and then severing their spinal cords to kill them?
Pelosi did not answer the question directly but said,
"As a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this. I don't think it should have anything to do with politics, and that's where you're taking it and I'm not going there."
It was in reference to that quote that Cardinal Burke was asked, "How are we to react to such a seemingly scandalous statement? Is this a case where Canon 915 might properly be applied?" Burke replied: "Certainly this is a case when Canon 915 must be applied."
The cardinal went on to say: "What Congresswoman Pelosi is speaking of is not particular confessional beliefs or practices of the Catholic Church. It belongs to the natural moral law which is written on every human heart and which the Catholic Church obviously also teaches: that natural moral law which is so wonderfully illumined for us by Our Lord Jesus Christ by His saving teaching, but most of all by His Passion and death."
"To say that these are simply questions of Catholic faith which have no part in politics is just false and wrong," said Card. Burke.
"I fear for Congresswoman Pelosi if she does not come to understand how gravely in error she is. I invite her to reflect upon the example of St. Thomas More who acted rightly in a similar situation even at the cost of his life."
St. Thomas More (1478-1535) was Lord Chancellor of England under King Henry VIII. When Henry VIII broke with Rome and declared himself head of the church in England, More refused to swear allegiance to the king's Oath of Supremacy.
As a result, Henry VIII had More beheaded.
More's last words were, "The king's good servant, but God's first."
Pelosi has a long history of supporting abortion and has a 100% rating by NARAL Pro-Choice America.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church says,
"Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law."
The Catechism further says:
"From its conception, the child has the right to life.
Direct abortion, that is, abortion willed as an end or as a means, is a `criminal' practice (GS 27 3), gravely contrary to the moral law.
The Church imposes the canonical penalty of excommunication for this crime against human life."
I have previously called for Pelosi to be excommunicated.
Forgiveness of sins is dependant on repentance.
Love the Sinner, but hate the Sin.
Pray for Grace. We live in a Vale of Tears.
We NEED MILITANT CHRISTIANS.
Not the wishy-washy protestant Church of England that started off this watering-down and trivialisation and whose rationale is Protest AGAINST true Christianity as Established by Christ.
Being a Catholic is the most difficult and challenging way to be of all. Just look at how Nancy Pelosi makes a mockery of it.

I would take small issue with Michael Voris in that the World and its Spirit is God given. We human being are the flowering of the Spirit of the World. It is a flower beset by bugs. The Spirit of the World is in dire need of redemption. Recognition of the Sins of the World start with an examination of the Individual Conscience.
