Smarter Every Day


We get really nice people dropping into the Tavern. There are many really nice people in the world but our media tends to focus on crass and awful ones.

This one is a man I admire.

He is a very smart man who never comes across that way. Not deliberately. And he is making it his life's work to help many other people get.....

 Smarter Every Day.

He is a gifted teacher; a great dad, a loving husband; an explorer of beauty and intellectual understanding of the world we live in.

Yes, I know, there are others like him.

So tell me about them.

    It has been my experience in life that there are SOME folks that make it their life's work to
    "know" about everything, and some live to "teach" everything. Quite often such an occupation leads to gross ignorance in (so called) civility. Ahem, I've "learned" this upon
    reflection, as well as "hanging out" with a bunch of "know-it-all's".
    I suppose it comes to great relief that the man with the highest measured IQ that I KNOW of is a bartender, and the "smartest" woman I know of writes a advice column for teens.
    No "They were smartest person in the room" (which usually doesn't impress ME as other than "they espouse and defend MY agenda" by the speaker) hype /B-S/promotional propaganda/ there.

      Hahahahaha. I do not seek the kudos, Captain. I too have a brain 'measured' to be the size of a modest Planet but I know others similar and even bigger. That is as maybe however as here I point to a charming as well as smart man who loves to share his enthusiasm for being smarter every day.

      Just as an aside, the man with the highest measured IQ also claims my real name. He is a rather pleasant fellow too.

    Butterflys are miracles in themselves. Even more amazing is the distance they travel on such delicate wings. Thanks for pointing this curious and wonderful gentleman this way.:) Drummer.

      He is a great gentle man. His boyish enthusiasm is always put to good use. I hope you will watch some of his other short but sweet offerings.

      He can drink in my Tavern anytime.

Our Bouncer is a gentleman of muscle and guile. His patience has limits. He will check you at the door.

The Tavern gets rowdy visitors from time to time. Some are brain dead and some soul dead. They attack customers and the bar staff and piss on the carpets. Those people will not be allowed in anymore. So... Be Nice..
