Customers' Choice

Updated, several times :)

It is that time of the year when my customers request appropriate entertainment in the Music Room.  As usual at Christmas it spills over into the Spirits bar and gets piped down to the Crypt.

Cherie jumped right in and took the Tavern Keeper by the ear. The Southern Gal was right behind and took the other ear. There are still plenty of 'parts' to pinch and tap, so if anyone wants to add their choices, I will add them on.

So, Christmas is coming ! And the Tavern is gearing up. Many of the patrons are already hard at it and even the kitchen staff are enjoying the season.

A great start from Cherie, evoking a humid and silent night in a small town and the coming of an Angel choir to welcome our Lord and Saviour, The Emmanuel.

Down here in the 21c though one could also like the simplicity and 'heart' of this version.

Great choirs can lift well but the high, angelic voice of a pretty girl can also touch the spot.

TSG has a more modern, country flavour...

But she also has a firm grasp of context. The festivities can get a little 'material' at times

But Cherie has more choices and so far a bigger menu.....And I really like these fine chaps. The 'scene' is as good as it gets.

Here is a Houston choir.

I, of course, am an old man. I like simplicity and style. Of a particular sort. Strong voices and sound hearts. Good souls. I might have them one day.

As a Catholic Knight I know the devil has some tunes of his own but by crikey the Christians can belt out a song or two as well.

Now, THIS is the simplicity suitable for my Crypt. It is the time of the babe in the manger.

I will come back to this post over the next few days and add whatever you and I fancy.

And  during the next few days I shall be readying myself for a small event in the Hilary Village down the hill.  There, there is scant regard for the sanctity of babies, ordinary or Divine, and great prayer is needed.

So.......

I have a Rosary and I am not afeared to use it.

Should you be in the vicinity and cannot find your way up the mountain to the Tavern, perhaps we can see you there outside the anti-stable.

Pax.

Added.

JH suggests something more down to earth mixed with gaity.

And another from Cherie. What's under the Christmas tree? A dream of presents put to dance of a very pretty kind.

Now, if you are going to sing in public, along with some friends, make sure there are 'public' to sing to.

Ne meias in stragulo aut pueros circummittam.

Our Bouncer is a gentleman of muscle and guile. His patience has limits. He will check you at the door.

The Tavern gets rowdy visitors from time to time. Some are brain dead and some soul dead. They attack customers and the bar staff and piss on the carpets. Those people will not be allowed in anymore. So... Be Nice..
